Back to School in Longmont

We can name ten quick reasons to live in Longmont, Colorado. For families with school-age children, access to an excellent public education sits at the top of that list. The St. Vrain Valley School District is one of the fastest growing, most innovative school systems in the country. A number of St. Vrain schools have received state and national recognition, 78% have earned Distinction or Performance accreditation, and the district ACT scores are above the state average in every content area.

To learn more about St. Vrain’s priorities and goals for the 2017-18 school year and to have your voice heard, attend one of several community discussions hosted by District Superintendent Dr. Don Haddad. Parents, students, teachers, staff, elected officials and business owners are invited. The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept 5, from 5:30 – 7 PM at Niwot High School. Go here for the full list of dates and locations.

Not a lot to report here except that infrastructure takes time, work is under way, and we’re making progress! Site grading—the first step in preparing the land—will continue into October. Installation of the undergrounds is up next, commencing in early September. This early phase is an important piece in creating a community that delivers the quality and lifestyle that buyers expect from Markel Homes. We appreciate your patience!
